Rose Mitchell, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 26, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
She is survived by her daughters Jeanne Mitchell of Islip, N.Y. and Barbara Hayek of Lyndhurst, N.J.; and nephews Frank Weber and family of Franklin Lakes, N.J. and Ray Weber and family of Bloomingdale, N.J.; as well as three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Prior to retirement, Mitchell was a homemaker who also worked in Food Service at Wayne Hill’s High School where her favorite area was being a lunch lady. She was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Vero Beach, NJEA, Senior Olympics and the Vero Strikers Club where she taught bowling to children well into her 80’s.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at St Helen Catholic Church with burial to follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach. An online guestbook may be signed at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
