VERO BEACH — Something new is coming to Downtown Fridays in Vero Beach: wiener dogs.
Main Street Vero Beach announced that there will be a wiener dog race on the lawn at the Heritage Center during the Oct. 30 Downtown Fridays event. There will also be a kid’s costume contest, an adult costume contest, and a pumpkin carving contest.
Participants should bring their pumpkins already carved.
Many prizes will be rewarded throughout the evening.
The music is by Category 5. There will be food, fun, crafts, politicians, nonprofits and more all to add to the street party on Oct. 30, downtown on 14th Avenue from 6 to 9 p.m.
