INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal crash that took place Sept. 30, 2014, in the 1400 block of US 1.
The crash involved Sean Maloney, John Vukovich Jr., and George Howland, according to authorities. Howland died in the crash.
Maloney, 24, has been arrested and faces a charge of felony vehicular homicide, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office website. She is currently being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
A warrant for her arrest was signed Sept. 8 and she was located in Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 3, then extradited to Indian River County and was booked in on Oct. 19.
Authorities said Howland was driving southbound on US 1 when he attempted to make a left turn onto Grove Isle Circle. Maloney’s 2005 Ford Escape then struck the passenger side of Howland’s Odyssey. Howland was transported to Lawnwood Regional where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7 p.m. Sept. 30, 2014.
