PHOTOS: St. John’s Wood revives ‘British Invasion’ at concert

A large crowd, their folding chairs lined up with almost military precision, took advantage of a beautiful night and engaging music from the band, St. John’s Wood, playing instantly recognizable hits from the 1960s “British Invasion” at last week’s Sunset Saturday Night Concert.

The concerts are part of a series of free monthly concerts on Ocean Drive alongside Humiston Park hosted by the Oceanside Business Association, offering varied music, food and beverage vendors.

It marked a return to the 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. winter hours, which will also be the case for the upcoming Nov. 28 concert and the 31st annual Christmas Parade on Dec. 5, which takes the place of that month’s concert.
