INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An Indian River County teen was arrested Friday morning just after 2 a.m. after he attacked his girlfriend at Dunkin’ Donuts where she was working.
Marvin Naphier, 19, of 1507 41st Ave., Vero Beach, now faces one felony criminal mischief charge and one misdemeanor battery domestic violence charge, according to authorities.
The victim told police her boyfriend was inside the store throwing things around, causing her to feel threatened. The woman locked the defendant outside of the store, and later went outside to attempt to calm him down.
Naphier then punched the victim in the face, hurting her jaw and causing her tooth to come loose. One officer observed the victim was bleeding from the injury, according to the arrest affidavit.
At one point during the altercation, the defendant punched the drive thru window at Dunkin’ Donuts, causing an estimated $3,500 worth of damage.
The owner of Dunkin Donuts requested a trespass warning be issued to the defendant.
