Sebastian student arrested for carrying stun gun

SEBASTIAN — A student at Sebastian River High School was arrested on Wednesday after a teacher discovered the student was carrying a miniature stun gun on school property.

The student turned the stun gun over to the vice principal and claimed she carried the stun gun for self- defense, according to authorities.

She was arrested for possession of a weapon on school grounds and transported to the Indian River County Jail according to the arrest report.
