Mayme B. Streeter, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 22, 2015, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
She is survived by her son Bobby Holmes of Vero Beach; brothers Theodist Streeter, Jessie Streeter of Vero Beach; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Glover, father Will Streeter, brother L.B. Streeter, Stacy Streeter, sisters Minnie Mosley, Willie Lee Mosley and Jewel Johnson.
Streeter was born on June 14, 1920 in Bertha, Ala., and has been a resident of Indian River County since 1956.
She was a retired nurse. She enjoyed visiting the sick and shut in, keeping grands, and warring her prayer room.
Streeter was a member of Davis Temple Church of God In Christ where she served on the Mother’s Board and Lead Prayer Band.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. and a funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2015, at Stone Brother Funeral Home Chapel, Vero Beach. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
