Shirley Ann Auvil Washington, 77, of Vero Beach and Paulding County, Ga., passed away on Sept. 13, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, James Alton Washington of Dallas, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Walter Brown of Vero Beach; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Lonnie Blanchard of Thompson, Ga.; grandson Robert Brown; nephew Mark Harnage.
Washington was born on Aug. 26, 1938, in Philippi, W.Va., the daughter of the late Mr. Harry Auvil and the late Mrs. Colleen Skidmore Auvil. She worked as a Citrus Manager at Sunbright. She was of the Church of God faith. She loved her church family and enjoyed gospel singing.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at Gates of Praise Church of God, Vero Beach. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at Gates of Praise Church of God, interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach; www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
