Proctor E. “Sonny” Barber Jr., 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 1, 2015.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Doris Barber; his sister Judith Barber; daughters Candace Howard, Virginia Smith, Christine Stenback; grandsons Aaron Mobley, Christopher Howard, Brandon Howard; granddaughter Jennifer Stenback, and five great-grandchildren.
Barber was born May 8, 1930 in Ashland, Kent. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1951 where he began a life-long career as a general contractor. He was a member of the First Church of God and a United States Veteran serving in the Army.
