Nina Walker Bass, 67, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 6, 2015, at her home in Vero Beach after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his son Marvin Prentice Bass, Jr.(Mark) of Vero Beach; grandchildren Marvin (Scott) Bass (Elee), Kevin Andrew Bass both of Vero Beach; great‐granddaughter Olivia Bass of Vero Beach; sister Phyllis A. Walker of Vero Beach; brothers Alvin C. Walker, Jr (Buddy), James (Mac) Walker, Roland (Dean) Walker, all of Vero Beach and Stanley L. Walker of Franklin, N.C.
Bass was born in Vero Beach, and has been a life time resident except for several years she spent living in Madison, Fla. earlier in life.
She worked for Gracewood Fruit Co. for more than 20 years as the gift fruit supervisor before her retirement just a few years ago.
She was a member of Lakeside Fellowship Church, Winter Beach.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
