Jeffrey Linn Snyder, 59, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 7, 2015, at the VNA Hospice House.
He is survived by his wife Marlene Carol Snyder; son Brad Jeffrey Snyder and daughter and son-in-law Julie Mae and E. J. Weppel all of Vero Beach; parents Kenneth and Beverly Snyder of Angola, Ind.; brothers Jon Snyder (Susan) of Lake Junaluska, N.C. and James Snyder (Susan) of Athens, Ga.; sister Jodie Rhoades of Angola, Ind. and sister-in-law Susan Eppley of Lebanon, Ind.
He was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Snyder.
Snyder was born in Coldwater, Mich., and moved to Vero Beach in 2010 coming from Orlando.
A solid family man and a man of faith, Snyder was an accomplished soloist and shared his faith through music. When he and his wife, Marlene, were expecting their first child, he began following his love of flying and worked his way through flight school.
Snyder was a graduate of Pacific Western University and rose to the rank of Captain at Comair before the company closed its doors. ALS led to his retirement after 24 years of service. In addition to holding a Captain’s rating he was a Federal Flight Deck Officer.
He enjoyed following Michigan State Football with his son and loved to fly and jog.
