Henry J. ‘Bud’ Beehler, 87, Vero Beach

Henry J. ‘Bud’ Beehler, 87, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 8, 2015.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Rebecca Beehler; sons Ken Beehler of New York City and Roger Beehler (Anne) of Breezy Point, N.Y.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Gloria Beehler and his daughter Rosemary Bulloch.

Beehler was born in New York City on Aug. 24, 1928 and was a resident of Vero Beach for 21 years.

After High School, Beehler enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for two years. He joined the New York City Police Department in 1954 and retired with distinction in 1976 with the rank of Lieutenant.

He was a member of the Superior Officers Association Retired (SOAR). He also had a distinguished career in the Security field working for Holmes Protection Agency and Gulf & Western Industries in New York City before retiring to Florida.

Beehler was known for his terrific sense of humor which will be missed very much.
