Day Trippin’ takes visitors to Kennedy Space Center Sept. 30

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Join local day trippers on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when they take their “shuttle” and go “outta this world” to experience a full day at the Kennedy Space Center Complex.

Located relatively close to home, the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) can seem light years away when maneuvering the local roads to get there.

Day Trippin’ with Patti and Vicky and Magic Carpet Bus Lines will escort participants to the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Visitor Complex where you will board the KSC Shuttle to the Apollo/Saturn V Center to relive that historic day in the Summer of ’69 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon.

The day at Kennedy Space Center will also include a drive-by of an operational launch pad and the Vehicle Assembly building; admission to the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame; admission to two IMAX films – “Hubble 3D” and “Journey to Space;” the Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit and Shuttle Launch Experience; meeting an astronaut; stepping back into time at the Rocket Garden; and KSC’s most recent exhibit “Forever Remembered” — the memorial to the crews of the Space Shuttle Challenger and the Space Shuttle Columbia.

Cost for the Kennedy Space Center day trip is $120 per person and includes bus transportation to and from the Kennedy Space Center and the full day of activities listed above. There will be two bus pickup sites on that day.
