Meredith Green, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 6, 2015, surrounded by her two daughters and granddaughter.
After fighting cancer for more than a year with the strength of a women half her age, she died peacefully, just how she would have wanted, with dignity and grace.
Green was born in Mississippi and later lived in Toronto, Miami, and for the past 20 years she has called Vero Beach home. She was an active resident at Grand Harbor, but most days she could be found working at a job she loved down at “The Beach Shop” of Vero Beach.
Her grandchildren, Justin, Sarah, Hailey, Jake and Scott, were the center of her life and her greatest pride and joy. She cherished the special relationships she had with each of them. She also had a special place for her niece Jill Stutts and her family, husband Bart, daughter Erin and son Mark. She was happiest when her entire family was visiting and her grandkids were together. She was a loving and devoted mother to Inga Wilson of Naples, Teresa and son-in-law Shawn Starbuck of Oviedo, Fla.
A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at First Presbyterian Church Vero Beach on Saturday, Sept. 12. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m.
