GIFFORD — Two men have been arrested for more gunfire at the Polish American Club two hours after shots were fired at Gifford Park.
The shots hit two cars at Gifford Park, but no one was injured, according to Indian River County Spokesman Sgt. Eric Flowers. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday. Then more shots were fired at the Polish American Club.
Reginald Jones, 28, and Michael Strapp, 25, both of Vero Beach, were arrested in connection with with the shootings, according to authorities.
Jones faces five charges, including felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, felony resisting arrest, felony false imprisonment, felony shoot or throw deadly missile, and misdemeanor obstructing justice.
Strapp faces charges of misdemeanor discharging a firearm in public and disorderly conduct.
Authorities said one gun has been recovered.
Jones is being held in lieu of $17,000 bond. Strapp has been released on bond, according to the Sheriff’s Office website.
A large group that was at the car show in Gifford Park is thought to have moved to the Polish American Club, according to Flowers.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not yet established if the incidents are connected.
