Exchange Club announces ‘Unsung Hero’ award

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Cindy Jewett, past president of Exchange Club of the Treasure Coast, recently presented the Club’s 2015 “Unsung Hero” award to Kelly Menger.

Menger has supported the Club for nearly a decade. She is called the Club’s “Guardian Angel” because she is always there to lend a hand with a big smile dwarfed only by her huge giving heart.

She eagerly volunteers for many of the Club’s activities, always contributing her time, talent and enthusiasm. Menger has recently become a mentor for a young boy through the Youth Guidance Program. She participates in the Florida District and National Exchange.

She is the wife a long time member of Exchange Club TC Eric Menger. Eric, Connie Menger and Kelly’s sister, Heidi, were at the presentation.

All of the members of the club are grateful for all the good works that she does to support the club.

To explore the Exchange Club of the Treasure Coast and to join in making the community a better place, have lunch with the group and consider becoming a member. Exchange Club of the Treasure Coast meets the first and third Thursdays at 12 p.m. at Culinary Capers, 737 22nd Street in Vero Beach. For more information please visit TCExchangeclub.org. Members donate time and money to organizations that help support the group’s four pillars: Prevention of Child Abuse, Americanism, Community Service and Youth Programs.
