John Francis Oakley, 93, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 24, 2015, at Florida Baptist Retirement Center.
He is survived by his brother, Ben Oakley; sister Ann Oakley; step-son John Richard; grandchildren Stephen Richard and Jennifer Richard; and great-grandchildren Cooper Oakley Richard, Drew Richard, and Emma Richard.
Oakley was born July 23, 1922 in Providence, R.I. to John and Caroline Okulowicz.
He served in the United States Army.
There will be a 10 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
