Sealed urn found at Sebastian Walmart

SEBASTIAN — What appears to be an urn has been found at the Sebastian Walmart at 2001 US 1.

It is being treated as “found property.” The Sebastian Police Department is looking for family members to claim the urn, said Sgt. Steve Marcinick.

“It can’t sit in our evidence room forever,” Marcinick said.

The object was described as a sealed metal box with the name on a plaque that reads “Patricia A. MacMillan, 1953-1991,” according to authorities. It was found in a median of the store’s parking lot Tuesday morning. The box has not been opened.

A Facebook post is also circulating in an effort to find the owner.
