Eva P. Lindemann, 89, Vero Beach

Eva P. Lindemann, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 25, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William; daughters Mary (John) Edmonds of Tampa, and Joan Lindemann of West Palm Beach; son, William (Maryanne) Lindemann of Castleton, N.Y.; sisters Edna Harrington of Averill Park, NY. and Pearl Ayers of Brooksville, Fla.; grandchildren, Faith (Stephen) Hutchinson, John Edmonds, Katherine Lindemann and William Lindemann.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Adam, Paul and John; six sisters, Alexandria, Anna, Mary, Sophia, Helen, and Beatrice.

Lindemann was born in Troy, N.Y. on April 30, 1926 to Anna and Michael Malik, one of 12 children.

She married the love of her life, William, on Sept. 24, 1949.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother, as well as a caring sister to her brothers and sisters and their families. She loved gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and shared the fruits of her labors with family and friends.

She and Bill traveled the United States, enjoying many of the wonders of our country and enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. After moving to Florida, they made many new friends and were well-known for the daily bike rides around the neighborhood. Lindemann was a regular communicant at St. John of the Cross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 at St. John of The Cross Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
