INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — McKee Botanical Garden is pleased to announce Judy Lemoncelli as its Director of Philanthropy.
Lemoncelli comes to McKee from Rochester, N.Y. and brings with her more than two decades of fundraising experience. She has been employed with such organizations as The Nature Conservancy for eight years and most recently, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra where she held the position of Vice President of Development.
As Director of Philanthropy, she will be responsible for strategizing and overseeing all aspects of the Gardens’ fundraising efforts, including its “Gatekeepers of the Garden” program, annual fund, underwriting for special events, major gifts/foundations, and grant writing. She will also provide leadership on building the McKee Legacy Society and assist with constituency development.
“Judy’s extensive background in the nonprofit sector, particularly her experience with the Nature Conservancy, demonstrates a commitment to conservation that will be of great benefit to McKee,” said Executive Director Christine Hobart.
“I am honored to protect and preserve this special natural area. I look forward to helping the Garden move forward with an ambitious fundraising plan that will benefit the wonderful programs and exhibits that McKee has to offer the residents of Vero Beach and beyond” Lemoncelli said.
McKee Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all. McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US Highway 1 in Vero Beach. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m. The Garden is closed Mondays.
