Mary Borzell, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 21, 2015, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by a son, Robert Borzell (Grace) of Hooksett, N.H.; daughter Christine Franke (John) of Vero Beach; brother Louis Damone of Lake Worth; sister Nancy Troiano of Bayonet Point, Fla.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John E. Borzell, and a sister, Margie Chutjian and a granddaughter, Christine Franke.
Borzell was a native of Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach in 1996 from Wheatly Heights, Long Island, N.Y. Prior to retirement, she worked for Newsday in Long Island New York for 20 years.
She attended St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church.
