Marilyn Thomas, 74, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 16, 2015, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Morgan Thomas; daughters Julia Jones, Dawn Thomas, Colleen Thurston (Grant) and Sarah Hayzlett (James); and son, Morgan Thomas Jr. (Kristine); brothers, Loren Gerber (Lucille) and Daniel Gerber (Lori); 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas was a native of Detroit, Mich. She was an Adjunct Instructor for Indian River State Collee and a member of Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene.
A visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Friday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene, 1280 27th Ave, Vero Beach, FL.
