Malcolm J. MacEachern, 82, Vero Beach

Malcolm J. MacEachern, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 12, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.

He is survived by four daughters. Michelle (Michael) McCann of Vero Beach, Patricia Mackewicz of Lynn, Mass., Cindy Porter of Lowell, Mass. and Mary Lindsey of Salt Lake City, Utah; one son, Malcolm J. MacEachern, Jr. of Bellingham, Wash.; three sisters, Mary MacEachern and Izzy Whelan of Cape Cod, Mass. and Chickie Sweeney of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Allan MacEachern of Vero Beach and Donald MacEachern of Cape Cod, Mass. as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Carlo MacEachern, and his brother, Richard MacEachern.

MacEachern was born in Boston, Mass., to the late Allan D. and Harriet Turner MacEachern. He worked as a short haul truck driver.

He moved to Vero Beach 10 years ago where he fell in love with the community and made many great friends. He was able to reconnect with his brother Allan, who became his best friend and was instrumental in his care the last few years.

Services will be announced at a later date.
