Keith R. Alich, 59, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 12, 2015, of pancreatic cancer at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Debra A. Alich of Vero Beach; his son Philip Andrew Henderson of Nevada; and his sister, Diane (Jerome) Riedel; nieces Melissa (Greg) Stehlin and Melanie (David) Ruhe; and great-nephews, Connor and Caleb Stehlin, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Alich was born on June 24, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Raymond and Audrey Alich. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio in 1978, and a Juris Doctor Degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1983.
He was admitted to practice law in Ohio and the District of Columbia. Alich served in the United States Air Force for 20 years as a judge advocate at multiple locations, including Nevada, Washington D.C., England, and Guam. He retired from active duty at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2006. He continued serving his country as an attorney for the Air Force Claims and Tort Litigation Division, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, for six years before permanently retiring in 2013.
Upon retiring, he and his wife moved to Vero Beach. Alich was a caring and devoted husband to Debra A. Alich, his soul mate in life. He loved spending time with friends and family, his Vero Beach home, traveling, the theatre, and the ocean.
Memorial donations may be made to the for pancreatic cancer research. Memorial services in Vero Beach, Florida and Cincinnati, Ohio will be held at a later date.
