INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The General Federation of Women Club’s Treasure Coast Women awarded six $2,000 scholarships at their annual Scholarship Awards Social on July 16.
The dinner committee, headed by Ruth Inhoff, prepared a delicious dinner for the 72 people in attendance. A violin solo was presented by one of the scholarship recipients, Jonathan Guy, who received the annual Arts scholarship in memory of a charter member of the club, Norma Hedin.
Members Magda Miley and Carolyn Aldhizer co-chaired the event. Alma Lee Loy presented the awards to the six outstanding local students.
