George J. Bailey, 79, of Sebastian, passed away on Aug. 12, 2015.
He is survived by Carol Bailey (Meenagh) his wife of 36 years; his children: the late Deborah Shepard, William Bailey (of Florida), Kathleen Bailey Gerber (of Israel); stepchildren: Michael Votta, Lynne Votta Kelleher and Kerry Votta (all of Florida); and grandchildren: Caitlyn Kelleher Miehle (Florida), Sara Gerber and Elana Gerber (Israel). He is also survived by six of seven siblings.
Bailey was was born and grew up in East Greenwich, R.I.
He was a Korean War army veteran and retired RI Police Officer. He moved to Florida in 1979 and worked in security for Florida Power and Light. He treasured spending time with family, and enjoyed golf and watching sports.
Friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at his home.
