The Arc and Special Scouts thank Saint Helen’s Knights of Columbus

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The past several years, Saint Helen’s Knights of Columbus have made The Arc and Special Scouts beneficiaries of their annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Dominic Lettiere, Grand Master of the Knights of Columbus Council 5629, presented a check for $2,959 to The Arc Executive Director Chuck Bradley.

Bradley thanked him and said “It’s because of organizations like the Knights of Columbus that The Arc is able to provide the desperately needed services to the most vulnerable of our citizens. The majority of the community has no idea how underfunded we are by the state. Donations from the community are what enable us to continue to provide quality programs and a safe environment for special needs adults in Indian River County.”

“The Tootsie Roll Drive is directed to helping individuals with disabilities. In the past, the Knights of Columbus have been strongly involved in helping in any way we can, and we plan on continuing to do so in the future. We are proud to be able to help The Arc and Special Scouts” said Lettiere.

Ed Boesch, Knights of Columbus Financial Secretary, presented the Special Scouts Troup Leader Kyle Foster with a check for $4,932. “This money will go a long way toward helping us grow and expand the services we do as scouts” Foster said.
