Orvis E. Coursey, 94, of Sebastian, passed away on Aug. 7, 2015, at Grace Rehabilitation in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his partner of many years, Judy Bosmeny, of Sebastian; step-son Michael Kremkau of Fort Pierce; step-daughter Joan Shipley, of Utah; and nine step-grandchildren.
Coursey was born March 11, 1921 in Polk County, Mo., and had been a resident of Sebastian for more than 40 years moving here from Owensburg, Ind.
He was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion of Sebastian.
Prior to retirement he was a self-employed General Contractor in Indian River and St. Lucie County.
A visitation will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015 at Seawinds Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to follow at 6 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion of Sebastian. Burial will be at Sebastian Cemetery in Sebastian, Florida.
