Alan Worman Lott, 91, Vero Beach

Alan Worman Lott, 91, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 31, 2015, in West Palm Beach.

He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay M. Lott of West Palm Beach and Hilary Jarvis of Albuquerque, N.M.; son-in-law Karl Jarvis; and granddaughter Kendall Jarvis.

He was preceded in death in 2011 by his wife of 60 years, Jean Morgan Lott.

Lott entered Dartmouth College in 1941. From 1943 to 1946, he served in U.S. Army – European Theater.

He reentered Dartmouth College and graduated in 1945. In 1951, he married the love of his life, Jean Morgan, in Westport. Lott was an executive of Permatex Co. from 1954-1968. They lived in Huntington, Long Island until moving to West Palm Beach with the company headquarters in 1961.

They lived and enjoyed Palm Beach a number of years.

The Lotts moved to Vero Beach where they shared a rich, active life for 35 years. Lott started Design Habitat, an imported ceramic tile business. He was also the business manager of Jean Lott, Inc., his wife’s successful apparel business.

For most of his life, he played a “mean game of tennis.” He was a jazz enthusiast and an active member of the Jazz Association. He enjoyed lunch at the Ocean Grill with friends, reading The Wall Street Journal, and gin martinis. He deeply loved his wife of 60 years and was a loving father to his daughters.

He was a true gentleman and will be missed by all who knew him.
