Donna Camille Derr, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 31, 2015, at the VNA Hospice House.
She is survived by her daughter Dixie L. Powell of Vero Beach and son Douglas M. Derr (Linda) of Allison Park, PA; she dearly loved her grandchildren Gabriel (Ashley) Derr, Katie Derr, Delilah (Mike) Coy, Micah (Ginger) Derr, Zachary (Hilary) Derr, Dexter Jr. (Jessica) Derr, Michael (Helena) Derr, Andrea (Justin) Werth, Michael Powell and Steven Powell along with 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle M. Derr, her son Dexter W. Derr and granddaughter, Elizabeth N. Powell.
Derr was born in Stillwater, Penn., and moved to Vero Beach with her husband, Merle, in 1987 from Levittown, Penn.
She was an active member of Vero Christian Church in Vero Beach. While in Pennsylvania she had been a dental assistant to Dr. Hochman and they remained friends through all these years.
“And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding will guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7.

A memorial service celebrating her life will begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2105 at Vero Christian Church, 3250 Oslo Road, Vero Beach, FL 32968.
