Jacqueline S. Padgett, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2015, after an extended fight with cancer.
She is survived by her husband Morris Padgett; sons Lawrence Padgett and Charles Padgett both of Vero Beach; daughter Susan Scarpa of Longwood, Fla.; four grandchildren; six nieces and four nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Padgett is the daughter of Emma G. Cravens and John L. Martin, and sister of Cheryl M. White.
She graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1961, where she once served as Prom Queen.
In 1963, she married the love of her life, Morris, and they celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary this past June.
In addition to raising three children, Padgett worked as an office assistant and bookkeeper for more than 45 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Jacqueline, to “Hospice House,” at VNA Hospice of IRC, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
