Taking off and returning to the Vero Beach Riverhouse, participants ran along a scenic, shaded route at last Saturday’s Second Annual Twilight 2-Mile Run/Walk.
The event was hosted by Runners Depot to benefit the Vero Beach High School Cross Country team. After the main race, little ones participated in a free Einstein Bagel Bros. Kids Fun Run, complete with a ‘glow’ prize at the finish.
Special glow-in-the dark medals were awarded to winners, and for everyone else the reward at the finish line was a post-race Ice Cream Sundae Bar at the Riverhouse and $500 worth of random raffle prizes.
Top finishers were J.R. Sharp and Alexa Baker.
