Loree ‘Jeannie’ Meeker, 64, Vero Beach

Loree “Jeannie,” “Mima,” “Mom,” Meeker, 64, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 7, 2015.

She is survived by her loving husband Dennis Acker; two daughters, Danielle Fitzgerald and Natalie Mcleod; three grandsons, Chase Fitzgerald, Treyton Mcleod, and Brock Fitzgerald; and her beloved yorkie Maddie.

She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Donald Meeker.

Meeker was born Nov. 15, 1950, to Thomas Edward and Wilda Jean Riffle.

She was the owner and operator of Mane Attraction Hair Salon, for more than 30 years. Meeker was loved by her clients, many who became her dearest friends.

Meeker was a proud member of Sam’s Club and her most important reading material was the National Enquirer.

She was a one of a kind. Anyone who knew her knew what an incredible person she was. She always held a positive outlook, had a wonderful sense of humor and had a zest for life. Meeker treasured her family and spent many enjoyable hours on the beach searching for shells, gardening, fishing, and taking beautiful pictures. Her amazing photography was posted in the Press Journal, with more than 140 photos being in print.

She was and will always be an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, and best friend. She had an endless love for her husband, her daughters, and grandsons. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Jeannie’s name, to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, MBC-FOUND, Tampa, FL 33612.
