Kelly Lynn Walsh, 55, formerly of Vero Beach, passed away on July 5, 2015.
She is survived by her husband William Walsh, of Golden Valley, Ariz.; step-son Billy Walsh, of Port St. Lucie; brothers Joseph S. Jones IV, of Jensen Beach, and Patrick Brian Jones (Candice), of Marietta, Ga.; sister Lisa Ann Jones, of Vero Beach; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and friends that will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph S. Jones III and Joan Harriette Jones; and sister, Kimberly Ramsfield.
Walsh was born in West Palm Beach before moving to the Treasure Coast.
She retired from the Indian River County Sheriff’s office after serving her community for more than 25 years. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed participating in Holy Mass with her mother and father each Sunday before boating in the Atlantic Ocean in the afternoon . She also prayed daily along with her brother Patrick and took solace in the scriptures he shared with her.
Walsh graduated from John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce in 1978. She enjoyed travelling to see new sites throughout Florida and Arizona. She was a caring and devoted woman toward her family and friends and always had a loving word or deed for all she knew.
She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who took great enjoyment in every victory and great disappointment in every defeat. She loved the ocean and beaches of Florida, the mountains and sunsets of the southwest deserts and the beauty of all of Mother Nature’s creatures.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Saturday July 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. with a gathering to follow until 3 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home and Crematory, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of Vero Beach would please Kelly greatly.
