VERO BEACH — For more than a decade, Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) has exemplified a long history of giving back to the Vero Beach community and its local non-profits. Most recently, the associates of DSRE made a unique donation of a children’s playhouse that was part of the company’s prize winning 4th of July parade float.
The playhouse was designed and built by DSRE sales associates along with Brett Hall of Creative Landscape & Pest Management. After the conclusion of the parade, which was presented by the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce to honor the community’s Veterans, the associates chose to donate the children’s playhouse to the Homeless Family Center (HFC).
“We designed the parade float with a charitable cause in mind,” said Georgann Schreiber, DSRE associate and parade chair. “It was a wonderful experience providing the children of the Center with a new addition to their playground.”
When presented with the playhouse, Dee Shelton, HFC Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator said, “The work that Dale Sorensen Real Estate provides to non-profits in the community is invaluable, and we are pleased to accept the winning float playhouse. We are so grateful to the efforts of our local business partners, like Dale Sorensen Real Estate and other community members. They should all be commended for their generosity.”
DSRE’s associates have lent their support throughout the year to the Homeless Family Center by volunteering and participating in a number of events to raise funds for the Center including the Children’s Talent Show. They also have plans to participate in the Center’s future Hometown Dream Makers Project. The Center will use donations raised to help defray the costs of operating the shelter.
