INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Recreation Department is now recruiting volunteers for the Special Olympics Area Games held at the North County Aquatic Center on Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23.
The volunteer hours will be from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. Around 60 volunteers are needed who will help with staging athletes, timing and awards. Please also save the date for the State Special Olympics Aquatic Championship on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, 2015.
