INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Dyer Chevrolet, one of nine Chevrolet dealers from the West Palm Beach area that partnered with local youth baseball leagues for the 2015 baseball program, has concluded a successful season with Indian River Cal Ripken.
Dyer Chevrolet provided Indian River Cal Ripken with new equipment, a monetary contribution and an opportunity for community members to raise funds for the league via a Test Drive fundraiser.
“We’re glad we were able to extend Chevrolet’s commitment to spreading play and the possibilities it opens to the members of our community,” said Christine Papke, community relations specialist for Dyer Chevrolet.
Dyer Chevrolet partnered with the Indian River Cal Ripken because of the league’s proximity to the dealership. Equipment donated by Dyer Chevrolet included items such as bags, batting tees, catcher’s gear, water bottles and Chevrolet Youth Baseball T-shirts. The sponsorship also included youth clinics featuring current and former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, and instructors from Ripken Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
“We truly enjoyed being involved with Indian River Cal Ripken this year,” said Papke. “This partnership gave us the opportunity to support the love of the game and we are thrilled to have achieved such positive results for the community.”
