Vero Beach celebrated the signing of the Declaration of Independence with an All-American Fourth of July party at the Vero Beach Family Fun and Fireworks event, sponsored by the City of Vero Beach, Mulligan’s Grill and Raw Bar and Indian River County.
As families staked out their spots in the late afternoon, some kept it simple, bringing just chairs and blankets, while others went all out with elaborate campsites decorated in red, white and blue.
Little ones were kept amused with bounce houses and a rock climbing wall, while all enjoyed live music by the band Southern Exposure as they waited for the main event.
And even Mother Nature’s lightning display out west of town couldn’t compete with the Zambelli Fireworks program, which lit up the evening sky with patriotic bursts of color.
