INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 49-year-old man from Miami was killed Wednesday afternoon in an ATV accident in south Indian River County.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal crash that occurred near 66th Avenue on a private side street north of 5th Street SW.
Arnaldo Aguero Benitez died after he lost control of the Yamaha Raptor he was driving. According to FHP, Benitez traveled over a 25-foot canal and struck the embankment on the opposite side of the canal.
He was taken to Indian River Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
