Joan Madeline Gilchrist-Schackne, 88, of Sebastian, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2015.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Schackne; children James Edward Gilchrist (Eileen), David John Gilchrist (Lorie), Rachel Elizabeth Burke (Rob), Roy William Gilchrist (Susan); three step-children; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Gilchrist.
Gilchrist-Schackne enjoyed hand making gifts, needlepoint, traveling, watching sports, and cooking her famous baked macaroni. She loved her family and friends.
