Joseph “Bud” Owen Brooke, 94, of Vero Beach, formerly of Beaver, Penn., passed away on June 6, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty; sons Will, Joe, Tim and Scott; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Randy and his sister Dorothy.
Brooke was born on Oct. 8, 1920 and was the son of the late Hugh and Catherine Brooke of Vanport, Penn. He graduated from Beaver High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Corp where he was stationed in Hawaii. Brooke was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He attended several memorial services in Hawaii throughout the years on Pearl Harbor Day. He was active in coaching various youth baseball leagues while living in Beaver.
Services and burial will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery June, 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
