Francis Eugene Love, 88, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 24, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy; sons Arthur, Stephen, Jeffrey, and James (Glenda); daughters Margaret (Michael), Patricia (William), Susan, and Luciann; brother John Wallace Love; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister and a grandson
Love was born and raised in Houtzdale, Penn., he moved to Pittsburgh and graduated from Westinghouse High in 1944. He served stateside in the U.S. Army until the end of WWII. Soon after, he married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy. They moved to Miami on their honeymoon and never looked back.
Love owned Hialeah Insurance Agency and was recognized for dedicated service and awarded numerous certificates for contributions to the industry and public. He was a charter and life member of the Knights of Columbus #4772 in Hialeah, and also served as Grand Knight twice, as well as a member of the Hialeah High Noon Optimist Club and Lions Club.
He has been described by many as an honest man, a great friend, and a wonderful father. He took delight in making others laugh with a joke or two and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Friday May 29, 2015 at St Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Inurnment will be in the Florida National Cemetery located in Bushnell, Fla.
