Power outage forces Vero Freshman Learning Center to main campus

VERO BEACH — The Freshman Learning Center has experienced a complete power outage failure at the Vero Beach High School (VBHS) FLC due to a transformer malfunction. Electricity is not expected to be restored until at least Noon. Today is an early release day District wide, so our students’ school day will be over at 12:05 p.m.

All freshmen have been relocated to the VBHS main campus for the day and are housed in the Performing Arts Center and the Witt Gym located on the east side of the main campus.

If parents would like to pick their freshmen students up early today, they will need to go to the VBHS Performing Arts Center box office. Otherwise, all freshmen will be released, as usual, at 12:05 p.m. Bus riders will get on the buses at the main campus bus loop at 12:05 p.m. Freshmen who are picked up by parents after school will need to be met at the main campus at 12:05 p.m. The parent loop is at the front of the administration building.
