Frank V. Cappo, of Babylon, N.Y., and Vero Beach passed away on May 6, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 50 years, married on Long Island on April 25, 1965. Also surviving are his children Andrea (Giuseppe) and Greg (Kristine); grandson Gianmarco; his brother Paul; and mother-in-law Margaret Vigneri.
Always hard working, Cappo started working at age 14 where he apprenticed at a print shop. He trained with 3M from 1973 to 1977 and went on to open his own company in 1983 Coral Graphic Services.
Starting with 12 employees, he went on to become the second largest printer of book components in the United States. Coral Graphics was the leading edge of technology at the time, producing high quality sales materials, corporate communications and other print media at the time of Coral Graphics sale in 2001. He employed more than 350 people.
Cappo enjoyed life to the fullest, in his youth he played drums in a band called Bob Hicks and the Fenders. He found in his retirement that he enjoyed golf and boating and became an avid sport fisherman winning the coveted, The Billfish Grand Slam.
A generous and loving family man he shared success with all. He was meticulous in his appearance and dress, yet was most comfortable at the head of the table hosting a feast with family and friends. He had the typical entrepreneur’s belief in himself and his future but, reality went beyond his expectations.
