Pasquale M. ‘Patsy’ Rinaldi, 80, Vero Beach

Pasquale M. ‘Patsy’ Rinaldi, 80, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 16, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Rinaldi of Vero Beach; sons Nicholas A. Rinaldi of Vero Beach, Anthony J. Rinaldi of Stamford, Conn., Michael P. Rinaldi of Stuart, and Richard P. Rinaldi of West Haven, Conn.; daughter Gina Marie Rinaldi of Greenwhich, Conn.; brothers John Rinaldi of Los Angeles, Calif., and Robert Rinaldi of Palm Coast; sister Roseanne Lopiano of Torrington, Conn.; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his sister Josephine Marschall.

Rinaldi was born in Waterbury, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 14 years coming from Cos Cob, Conn.

He was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Korean War on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Gilbert Island.

He owned and operated Rinaldi’s Country Deli in Cos Cob, Conn., with his wife Joan from 1986 until his retirement in 2000.

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Foundation 1110 34th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in memory of Pasquale M. Rinaldi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
