Florence “Flo” Barnes, 81, of Sebastian, passed away on May 6, 2015, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband Walter W. Barnes of Sebastian; daughters Patricia A. O’Hara and Susan Cuddie (David) both of Sebastian; sons James Barnes (Donna) of Sewell, N.J. and John Barnes (Kristen) of McKinney, Texas; sister Ann Feaster of Jackson, N.J.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister Joan Murtha.
Barnes was born in Jersey City, N.J. and lived in Sebastian 25 years coming from Sewell, N.J. after raising her family in West Keansburg, N.J.
She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian and a long-time volunteer at Sebastian River Medical Center.
A true matriarch, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always said what was on her mind and her advice was always on target. She was loved by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday May 18, 2015 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian.
Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory of Sebastian is entrusted with arrangements.
