Fellsmere man arrested for exposing self, offering bribe

FELLSMERE — An 18-year-old Fellsmere man living at Sonrise Apartments has been arrested, accused of exposing himself to a fellow apartment complex resident and later trying to bribe the officer who arrested him, according to the Fellsmere Police Department.

An officer responded to the apartment complex late in the evening Friday, May 1, due to a call from a woman who reported the man, identified as Christian Adalberto Lopez-Guardado, who had knocked on her door and exposed himself to her and offered her money for sex. The woman told the officer she does not know the man but had seen him trying to enter an apartment the night before.

The responding officer found Lopez-Guardado sitting in a chair on the balcony in front of the woman’s unit. According to police, his pants were unbuttoned, underwear was visible and he appeared to be intoxicated.

Lopez-Guardado told the officer that he offered the woman money for sex, pulled down his pants and exposed himself to her, according to the report released by the Fellsmere Police Department. The 18-year-old also told the officer that he had seen the woman before and knew where she lived though he did not know her.

After being placed under arrest, Lopez-Guardado asked the officer, “How much to make all this go away?” the police department reported “When the officer asked him to explain what he meant, he replied, ‘How much money for you to let me go?’ The officer once again asked him to explain what he meant, and he said, ‘I will pay you cash to let me go.’”

Lopez-Guardado faces charges of exposure of sexual organs, attempted solicitation for prostitution, and bribery. He is currently being held at the Indian River County Jail in lieu of $28,000 bail.
