Lester J. Gano, 99, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 25, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; son Robert Gano (Jeanne); daughter Linda Gass (Art); sister Nellie Breiner; five grandchildren, Jeff Ort (Emmy), Dennis Ort (Maricia), Chris Ort, Shannon Ort and Jennifer Allen (Jim); 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
Born on April 29, 1915 in Bridgeport, Conn., Gano moved to Milford, N.J. where he met his wife, who he was married to for 75 years. He retired in Leesburg, Fla. in 1988 and moved to Vero Beach in 2011. He was a WWII Veteran.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
