Donald Lee (Peck) Pechart, 76, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 27, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Ada Pechart of Sebastian; daughters Wanda Kay Morris (Dennis) of Winter Garden and Wendy Ann Washington (Frankie) of Sebastian; granddaughters Brooke Jean Morris of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Koryl Lee Washington of Sebastian; four sisters and nine brothers.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Pechart was born in Camp Hill, Penn., and lived in Sebastian for 28 years coming from Goldenrod, Fla. Pechart was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, #1767, Sebastian, the American Legion Post 189, Sebastian, and was an avid card player and fisherman. He was a retired farmer and worked for B&W Quality Growers for more than 50 years. He attended Sebastian Christian Church, Sebastian.
A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 2, 2015, at the Strunk Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors by the Sebastian Area Veterans Honor Guard.
