Dennis Allen Verheyen, 70, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 25, 2015, after a heroic fight with cancer.
He is survived by his significant other Mary Dessellier of Vero Beach; five daughters, Donna, Tammi (Mike) Monette , Cassandra (Greg) Kingstrom, Annette (Brian) Mattfolk and Denise Verheyen; two brothers, Brian (Cynder) Verheyen and Gary (Nora) Verheyen and one sister, Susan Verheyen- Aughinbaugh; nine grandchildren, Tyler Monette, Danielle Hupp, Ashlynn Kalicich, Anna Kingstrom, Thomas Mattfolk, Matthew Mattfolk, Christen, Michael and Deegan Verheyen; and two great- grandchildren, Corbin Hupp and Carter Kalicich; one nephew, Eric DeGroot and two nieces, Sarah DeGroot and Nicole Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his brother David Verheyen.
Verheyen was born in Racine Wis. May 6, 1945 to Meta and Lloyd Verheyen.
He spent the majority of his life in Calumet, Mich. and Vero Beach. He enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite hobby was fishing.
He leaves behind numerous friends and family. His unique personality and style will be dearly missed.
